For Parents of College Students & Grads

You cannot get the offer for them. You can give them the edge.

Your grad is smart and stuck. Paige gives them what a degree does not: a resume that lands, interview nerve, and a real plan. You give the push that gets them started.

The worry

The diploma is framed. The job search is stalled.

  • They moved home and the applications are going nowhere.
  • Your advice gets a shrug, because it is coming from a parent. From a coach, the same advice lands.
  • You would happily invest in their launch if you knew it would work.
  • You want them independent and confident, not discouraged.
What's included

I know the university system your grad just left

I ran career advancement at a top ranked university and advised more than 150 students a year. Your grad has the degree. I know the moves that turn it into offers.
  • Tell a meaningful experience from a resume filler, and position the ones that matter.
  • Reach out to professors and mentors so they open doors and advocate.
  • Find funding on and off campus for the opportunities that build a career.
  • Network toward graduate school and its funding, if that is the path.
  • Connect your grad's interests to a career that pays six figures.

When my employer shut down unexpectedly, I had to start over. Paige built a plan around my experience, my values, and my community ties, and it worked. I received a job offer before the position was publicly posted.

How involved am I as the parent?
As involved as makes sense for your family, and no more. Most of the work happens directly with your grad: the sessions, the assignments, the search. You're the one who makes it possible, and I'll keep you in the loop at the start and the finish if your grad is comfortable with that. I don't coach by committee, though. The plan sticks when your grad owns it, so they're the one in the room.

Does my grad have to be ready?
They have to be willing, not ready. Almost no one arrives sure of the plan; that's usually why they come. What matters is that your grad shows up to the calls and does the work between them. If they're flat out resisting the whole idea, a gift they didn't ask for won't change that, and I'll tell you so before you spend a dollar.

What if they're not sure what they want?
Then we start there. The first stage of my process, Map, exists for exactly this: sorting strengths, values, and real options into a direction they can move on. Plenty of my clients come in saying "I have no idea what I want" and leave with a target and a plan to reach it. Not knowing yet is a starting point, not a disqualifier.

How fast will they find a job?
It depends on the field and how much your grad puts in, so I won't promise a date. What I can point to: most of my clients land their next role about twice as fast as the national average, because we skip the online application black hole and go straight to the people who do the hiring.
